The Mandala Museum

The Mandala Museum opened in 2002 as part of Kanzouin made possible by the kind contributions from many people.

Our collection consists of works of Japanese and Nepalese buddhist paintings, Siddham (Sanskrit scripts), Mithila folk art paintings, etc. The focus of our collection is on various kinds of mandala.

Every November, a special exposition and event takes place in the museum. The museum can be also used as the concert hall for the enjoyment of various experiences of Buddhist art.
